The Merida Big Trail is a 29er aluminium hardcore hardtail designed for trail riding. It features a Suntour XCR34 140mm air fork, a Shimano Deore 1 x 10 drivetrain, and a dropper seat post.

With input from UK bike shops and Merida's German R&D team, this bike was developed to be fun-packed and highly capable. Its trail bike geometry, along with the long travel 140 mm fork and grippy 2.4-inch wide 29er trail tyres, make it the perfect companion for exciting trail sessions and demanding all-day rides over rough terrain. It is ideally suited for UK riding.

The modern trail bike geometry features a slack enduro-inspired 65.5° head angle, a steep seat angle, and a long reach. The short seat tube provides a low standover height, allowing for flexibility and maneuverability on technical trails. It also accommodates a long travel dropper post.

The versatility of the Big Trail's geometry means that most body sizes will work for most sizes of the bike. If you want to ride fast, choose a longer size. For agility, choose a shorter size.

In addition to its great performance on the trail, the Big Trail has hidden talents. It has two sets of bottle bosses and a trail mount under the top tube, allowing you to carry tools and extra gear. It can also be equipped with mudguards and a rack for longer treks.
